The Cornerstone Partnership, an initiative of CSG/NCB Capital Impact, supports local and state homeownership programs that preserve long-term affordability and community stability. Since 2010, we have grown to over 700 members located across the U.S. We engage with our members through a variety of communication and programming activities, including monthly e-newsletters, bi-monthly webinars, and program assessments. In 2011, we were awarded a competitive Social Innovation Fund (SIF) grant, which enables us to provide operating support grants to 10 innovative local homeownership programs across the country and to conduct a multi-year evaluation of the impact of these programs. We recently launched HomeKeeper, a Salesforce.com app that helps organizations manage their homeownership programs and produce data that will eventually generate performance outcome reports to help nonprofits benchmark themselves against their peers. We also operate member-driven Working Group initiatives through online and in-person peer convenings.
The Community Engagement Associate will help us coordinate our member programming activities by supporting communications, marketing, and member engagement activities for Cornerstone Partnership. We are seeking a strong self-starter with the ability to manage many responsibilities in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Communications & Marketing (40%)
Write and edit informational materials such as marketing materials, newsletters, organizational templates, press releases, etc.
In collaboration with staff, develop communication strategies that utilize web, email, and social media channels to achieve organizational goals.
Write, edit and implement online content for website, email marketing, social media, and blog
Develop narratives and other outreach materials that raise awareness about Cornerstone Partnership
Create and distribute regular reports on online activities including web analytics
Support the production of web, electronic and printed publication
Assist in developing strategies to strengthen brand awareness
Develop tracking and reporting metrics for communications channels and implement revised strategies based on data to improve results
Assist in working with web developer (s) to coordinate development of a new website
Member Engagement (40%)
Support management in strategic planning and program implementation to recruit and engage members
Develop and manage member on-boarding process through online or phone communications
Moderate list-serves and social media portals to advance peer learning
Develop and administer member surveys
Assist in coordinating and planning events and webinars
Assist staff in organizing, indexing, and sharing knowledge resources through online platforms
Monitor news sources, member websites and publications for items that would be of interest to our stakeholders
Operations (20%)
Maintain and update membership contact lists, managing opt-outs, and providing ad-hoc user support
Research online platforms and website tools
Assist in setting-up, recording, and tracking webinar events and attendance
Collaborate with IT and external consultants to trouble-shoot technology issues as needed

Loan Officer (Oakland)
NCB Capital Impact, a not-for-profit lender and technical assistance provider in low-income communities nationwide, seeks a Loan Officer to strengthen its community lending. The Loan Officer is responsible for representing NCB Capital Impact in its lending in underserved communities, focusing in five key sectors --education, health care, healthy foods, housing, and aging-- building on our long history of lending within these sectors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for work in low-income communities, 2-5 years of experience in lending or consulting to not-for-profit organizations, ideally with organizations serving low-income populations, and a track record of relationship development and management. Knowledge of New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) and Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) is helpful.
Specific responsibilities include:
Market NCB Capital Impact lending and technical assistance products and services to new customers, relationships and partners.
Screen potential loan applicants, structure transactions and issue term sheets.
Originate new assets by underwriting transactions and managing a team assembled to work through the approval and loan closing process.
Research and analyze the ecosystem in which we lend as it contributes to the organization’s mission and credit decisions (i.e. market/industry analysis, local/state/federal policy environment, community development context).
Manage a small portfolio of key borrower relationships.
Work closely with all lending staff to assure excellent customer service.
Maintain business development pipeline and contact database.
Participate in strategic planning and program development for lines of business.
Assist in management of loan programs internally and with external partners.
1. New business development. 20%
With guidance from manager and peers, engage in asset origination through marketing of NCB Capital Impact’s core lines of business through customer contact; attend industry trade conferences and assist with other strategies to promote products and services; foster and maintain key strategic relationships.
2. Transaction due diligence 25%
Structure transactions in coordination with supervisor and credit team; prepare and issue term sheets; arrange follow-up for term sheets.
3. Asset origination 25%
Underwrite new transactions for loan approval. Prepare underwriting memos and present them at credit committee, Prepare commitment letters and negotiate loan documentation. Manage the loan closing process with a small ad hoc team developed to help with analysis, construction monitoring, closing documentation and asset management. Work with partners on loan participations. 4. Portfolio and Program Management 20%
Manage a small portfolio of strategically significant relationships. Prepare call reports, annual reviews, complete annual site visits and identity new business opportunities. Manage loan programs internally and with external partners.
5. Strategic and tactical planning and product innovation 10%
Participate in and contribute to strategic and tactical planning for NCB Capital Impact’s market sectors. Assist with the development and implementation of new products and services.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (preferrably in finance or equivalent experience in the field) 3-5 years of lending financial services sales and business development experience, ideally with a Community Development Financial Institution, with knowledge of business lending products and services and commercial credit and lending. The position requires a person to be computer literate in a PC environment using Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, Moody’s Analytics, and Salesforce.com.
Candidates should have demonstrated sales ability and strong communications skills. Candidates must have market knowledge to anticipate needs and impact strategic direction. Candidates must have sufficient credit skills to conduct risk assessment, originate transactions and manage a portfolio. The person should also have strong verbal, written and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, be a self-starter, and be able to work in a team atmosphere where his or her manager may not work in the same office. Prior experience providing credit to education, health care, healthy foods, housing, and aging organizations, and/or CDFIs is a plus.

Member Support Coordinator, Cornerstone Partnership
The Cornerstone Partnership, a program of the CSG/NCB Capital Impact, has developed HomeKeeper, a new and exciting Salesforce.com app that helps organizations manage their homeownership programs and track the impact of their programs. Program and organizational data from HomeKeeper will be transferred to the HomeKeeper Hub, which will generate sector-wide performance outcome reports. We have completed the initial development of HomeKeeper with 32 early adopter users and are ready to launch a public campaign to roll out HomeKeeeper to the public and recruit new members. Cornerstone Partnership is a 2013 recipient of a Force for Change grant from the Salesforce Foundation.
We are looking for a multi-talented, tech-positive team player to join our dynamic and fast growing social enterprise. The HomeKeeper Member Support Coordinator is responsible for increasing the number of users and helping non-profits and local governments successfully adopt HomeKeeper. In addition the Coordinator will assist with providing user support, building a fanatical user base and promoting successful user adoption, retention and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Implementing HomeKeeper Marketing Strategies – Coordinate monthly Intro to HomeKeeper webinars, development internal marketing systems and infrastructure, implement outreach strategies to potential users, including email and cold calling campaign, developing a user referral program and attending industry conferences – 25%
- Coordinate the Onboarding of New Users – Coordinate the screening, onboarding and training of new users Assist in the development of documentation, training materials and related program systems to enroll new users and train program staff – 30%
- Provide User Support (Reactive)- Respond to help desk inquiries, Assist in the development of documentation, training materials, effective practice memos and related HomeKeeper and Program documents - 20%
- Promote Successful User Adoption, Retention and Engagement (Proactive) – Develop training and product documentation materials, coordinate user trainings and office hours, promote effective HomeKeeper and program practices – 15%

Requirements
